Overview

Synovus Bank allows you to grant access to your accounts and services by creating a user. This is done through Synovus Gateway, where your organization’s Primary Administrator can add new users, assign account access, and define their roles for specific applications like Accelerate AR RDC.

Setup steps

1. Navigate to user management

Log in to the Synovus Gateway Home page.From the top navigation menu, select Manage Users > Users.
Click the Add User button.Complete both the Personal Details and Login Details sections as prompted by the interface.
The username established within Gateway is the same username that should be used to create your user within specific applications (like Accelerate AR RDC).
Select Save New User Details. When the confirmation message appears, select Close.
From the user management screen, select Accounts.Select the desired accounts for the user, then select Save. When the “Policy Saved” message displays, select Close.
Navigate to Manage Users > Manage Portal Access.Use the Select User drop-down to choose the user’s name.Select the drop-down next to the specific service (e.g., Accelerate AR RDC Access) to expand it. The Online Banking Login Name and Merchant ID will auto-populate.Select Save to grant the user access to the service, then select Close on the confirmation message.
After granting access at the Gateway level, you must configure the user within the specific application (e.g., Accelerate AR RDC).
Navigate to the specific application (e.g., Accelerate Solutions > Accelerate AR RDC).Go to Administration and select the icon to add a new user.Enter the required details, ensuring the Username matches the Gateway User Name established earlier.Select the desired role for the user:
  • Administrator: can process deposits, perform research, run reports, and manage users.
  • Operator: can process deposits, perform research, run reports, and manage users.
Select the available locations and accounts for the user.Select Save to complete the setup.

Important notes

If no account access is assigned, the user will see no data.
Use one user per account if separate connections are required.
