How to create and configure an authorized user in Business On Line.

Overview

Bank of Ireland allows you to grant access to your accounts by creating a User.

This is done through Business On Line, where you can:

• add a new user with their own login credentials
• assign them to a User Group to determine what accounts they can view and whether they can make payments from them
• define authorisation limits for the company and the payment limit for each User

You will be setting up a user that can securely access account data and initiate transactions without sharing your primary login.

Setup steps

1. Log in to Business On Line

Log in to Business On Line using your Administrator Username and Approve app.

2. Use the Setup Wizard

The Setup Wizard is one of the ‘Quick Actions’ available at the bottom left of the Administrator Dashboard. Follow the wizard to add a new User.

Enter the required details as prompted by the interface.

3. Assign account access

Assign the user to a User Group to determine what accounts they can view and whether they can make payments from them.

4. Configure permissions

Administrators can decide on the authorisation limits for the company and the payment limit for each User.

The above example corresponds to read only functionality. If you want to enable Waycore to draft transactions on the portal, you should enable payments, approvals, and limits correspondingly.

5. Initiate setup of the Approve app

Initiate setup of the Approve app for each user. This is to enable the Users you have created to log in to Business On Line.

Important notes

If no account access is assigned, the user will see no data.

If you nominate two administrators, they share a dual login. Both will need to be available to access administrator functions, so it is recommended that the people you nominate are co-located and likely to be available at the same time.

Use one user per account if separate connections are required.
